| The 12/1/2006 Snowstorm's intensity caught
the Chicagoland area by surprise. Thundersnow was reported in many
areas.
For a week following the system the weather was unusually cold, and the thought was that this snow would last though February. Little did we know that by the 13th it would all be gone as the midwest headed into a month long warm spell that had the area almost 7 degrees above normal for the month .. after having the first week of the month far below normal. |

| June 26th was a typical June rainy day,
with the exception of the "accumulating hail" that Marengo got.
Silly neighbor kids were even seen going out in it. Fortunately the hailstones never got larger than nickel-size. |
